Summary/Scope
The Oncogenesis TRC focuses on delivering Client cancer therapeutics by engaging E3 ubiquitin ligases for targeted protein degradation. We are seeking a motivated Research Associate/Senior Research Associate with broad experience and understanding of the small-molecule drug discovery processes. The successful candidate will work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment to 1) develop and implement robust molecular and cellular assays to support discovery of small molecules as clinical development candidates; and 2) execute in vitro studies that further our understanding of the mechanisms of Client compounds. The desired candidate should have experience in cell biology, biochemistry, and cell culture techniques. The candidate will work within discovery project teams and with scientists across different functional areas and is expected to contribute to project based decisions.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
1. Develop and implement relevant cell-based and biochemical assays to support identification, optimization, and characterization of Client chemical matter
2. Develop and construct cell lines and tools for Mechanism of Action (MoA) studies
3. Design and conduct critical experiments using expertise in cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry and assay development to support MoA studies
4. Execute routine assays in a consistent and timely manner
5. Document, analyze, and present data in an organized and timely manner
6. Support biology needs for different projects and drug discovery teams

Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in biology or related disciplines with a minimum of one year (preferably two years) of relevant experience.
2. Excellent sterile technique with mammalian cell culture is required.
3. Experience with transfection, lentiviral transduction, CRISPR KO, and shRNA knock downs is a plus.
4. Deep understanding and hands-on experience with selected molecular techniques and cell-based assays, such as western blotting, DNA and RNA isolation, cell proliferation assays, cell cycle assays, apoptosis assays, MSD, incucyte, and flow cytometry
5. Strong data analysis and data handling skills including Excel, PowerPoint, GraphPad PRISM
6. Capability to stay focused and deliver high quality data in a consistent, timely, and organized manner.
