Shift: 8am – 5pm Mon-Fri
Seeking a dedicated and motivated individual with strong attention to detail and organization to join our research and development team as the laboratory technician! This position requires a person who has some knowledge of laboratory duties and/or biological sciences. The candidate will perform comprehensive clinical laboratory procedures of low and high complexity as directed by the laboratory manager. General responsibilities include maintenance of laboratory equipment, data entry, maintenance of laboratory records including quality control, instrument logs, and inventory of reagents and supplies.
CORE FUNCTIONS
• Perform preparation of reagents and controls
• Perform daily and weekly maintenance of equipment per SOPs (standard operating procedures) and any other applicable documentation
• Maintain laboratory and equipment clean and functional (On the job training will be provided)
• Perform all tasks related to clinical sample testing (blood, urine), including sample receipt, log-in, sample preparation and testing, recording test results, and disposing of samples
• Organize stock and maintains inventory; order stock as needed
• Adhere to existing safety standards and help improve laboratory safety practices whenever possible
• Provide support to direct and extended R&D team as necessary This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as necessary. Perform all other duties as assigned
CORE REQUIREMENTS
• Associate Degree- with 3 years' experience
• 4-year bachelor's degree (Chemistry, Biology, or other STEM related field) with 0-2 years' experience
• Experience with urine chemistry and/or hematology diagnostic testing and instrumentation preferred
